He was also the CEO of Vision Critical, and when he retired as executive chair, the company was seeing revenues of more than $100 million.

Angus has written on economic, social, and governance issues, including the bestseller Shakedown: How the New Economy is Changing Our Lives.

He has also published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in the areas of sociology, research methods and medicine, and has been quoted in many publications, including The Economist.

Alex is a Director of Client Services at Angus Reid, with 10 years of experience in the market research industry. Alex has worked with a wide variety of clients in the private and public sectors, including but not limited to government, charities, telecommunications, retail, and PR agencies. As a research partner, Alex has helped clients in varied sectors build research programs that enable them to make key decisions they need to move forward.

Prior to joining Angus Reid Global, Alex provided research consulting with Maru/Matchbox and a boutique public opinion firm, Phoenix Strategic Perspectives. His first exposure to research was while earning a BA and MA in experimental Psychology at Carleton University.

Ricardo is the Director, Account Services at Angus Reid Group and has been with the company since it began in 2018. Ricardo is critical to project lifecycle success at ARG, and co-leads the team responsible for project management, applying various methodologies to conduct quantitative and qualitative research.

Ricardo has been working on the operations side of market research since 2011. He’s been involved in the creation of National and Provincial market research access panels as well as private research communities for brands such as PayPal, Bank of America and Coast Capital.

Before joining Angus Reid Group, Ricardo was the Senior Panel Manager at Insights West, and worked at Ipsos Reid in Vancouver.

Joining ARG is a natural extension of Jay’s 25+ year career and previous experience in the research and insights industry.  Jay brings extensive experience in Information Security (Policy, Risk Management, Control design and implementation, Compliance, Audit and Governance) having previously been employed by the Royal Bank of Canada for 18 years in increasingly senior security and compliance roles. Jay joined the research firm Maru in 2014 as Global Head of Security and Compliance, Chief Auditor and Chief Privacy Officer.

This role touched all aspects of Governance/Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) as well as Global Privacy (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, etc). Jay initialized and owned three ISO27001 certificates, as well as the global group Privacy posture, compliance, and data security. Jay has experience with both internal and external audits and attestation (working alongside Deloitte, KPMG, PWC and others as the internal representative and liaison for regulatory reviews such as SOX and PCI ).

Dan is a jack-of-all-trades, having designed and executed quantitative and qualitative studies across various industries including finance, tech, CPG, lottery and gaming. Dan has led many complex studies that spanning across the globe and has a vast range of methodologies in his toolbox. Dan has been based in Vancouver for the past four years, working within Canadian and US markets. In his spare time, you will see him hiking, skiing or watching the All Blacks.
