Angus Reid
CEO
Dr. Angus Reid has spent more than four decades asking for people’s opinions on top social, governance, and economic issues. He founded Angus Reid, which grew into the largest research firm in Canada.
He was also the CEO of Vision Critical, and when he retired as executive chair, the company was seeing revenues of more than $100 million.
Angus has written on economic, social, and governance issues, including the bestseller Shakedown: How the New Economy is Changing Our Lives.
Ed Morawski
President
Ed Morawski has spent the past two decades in leadership positions at several market research companies. Before launching Angus Reid with Dr. Angus Reid, Ed worked for Ipsos North America as senior vice president and launched Vision Critical’s research and consulting practice.
Ed has appeared on BBC Television, BBC Radio, and CBC Television to provide insight and commentary on public opinion on a variety of issues.

Patricia’s reputation as an industry leader derives from her commitment to building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with clients and colleagues. In addition to her widely recognized skills as a senior research practitioner, Patricia has a strong data science and software background; an essential asset given the greater role of technology such as AI in market research.
Michelle Walkey
EVP Canada
With over 20 years in the market research industry, Michelle has a passion for providing insights and helping companies address their key business questions. A seasoned expert in Financial Services, Michelle has built insight programs that leverage all methodologies and advanced analytical tools. Michelle is a respected leader who has developed teams and businesses across North America and the United Kingdom.
Maria Fernandez
VP, Human Resources
Maria Fernandez is a Human Resources veteran with a special focus in tech and market research. Before joining Angus Reid Group, Maria held posts at both Maru/Matchbox and Vision Critical, as well as Celestica.
Andrew Grenville
Chief Research Officer
Andrew Grenville is a 30+ year research veteran who has conducted an extensive amount of research on research, with a focus on the respondent experience, survey simplification and sample quality. He is the author of Eureka! the science and art of insights and The Insights Revolution: Questioning Everything. He has also published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in the areas of sociology, research methods and medicine, and has been quoted in many publications, including The Economist.
Tim Murphy
In-house Council
Tim specializes in business law and intellectual property, with extensive experience in commercial transactions, technology law, and business dispute resolution. He handles mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, financings, corporate governance, and contract negotiations. Tim started his career with a national firm in Calgary, worked internationally with a UK law firm, and served as in-house counsel for a Paris-based software company. He is an active arbitrator and mediator with the Vancouver International Arbitration Centre and sits on several tech company boards, mentoring start-ups and founders.

Gary Bennewies
Chairman
Gary Bennewies is the former CEO of Ipsos Canada. He started his career as a market research professional with the Angus Reid Group where he took on successive leadership roles. As the CEO of Ipsos Canada, he led the development of the organization to create Canada’s largest market research agency. This was accomplished through strong organic growth and a series of acquisitions. At the centre of this achievement was building a talented leadership team focused on offering industry-leading research solutions. In addition, he served as Ipsos’ Global Chief Talent Officer, and Chair of the Canadian Research Insights Council. Gary is a believer in combining an innovation-based culture with a dynamic organizational structure to drive change and business success.

Shachi Kurl
President, ARI
As President of the Angus Reid Institute, Canada’s non-profit foundation dedicated to independent research, Shachi Kurl leverages public opinion data to enhance national and global understanding of key issues. A frequent commentator, her analysis appears on platforms like CBC’s Power and Politics, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the Globe and Mail. Shachi has moderated major political debates, including BC’s provincial election and the 2021 English leaders debate. With a career that began in political reporting, she holds a Journalism and Political Science degree from Carleton University, where she now serves as an Adjunct Research Professor.
Jennifer Reid
Director
A pioneer in online research methodologies, Jennifer started her career at Angus Reid Group and in 2003, Jennifer joined Vision Critical. As Rival’s EVP of Corporate Strategy, she developed the methodology for Vision Critical’s proprietary insight community offering. At Rival and ARG Jennifer is once again helping shape the future of insights by leading the charge in the development of mobile-first communities and other conversational research approaches.
Eileen Campbell
Director
As the founder of Womintuition, Eileen helps organizations, teams, and brands become more intuitive and creative. She co-founded Rival Group, where she served as Board Chair and advisor, playing a key role in its success. Previously, she led Millward Brown as Global CEO and served as CMO at IMAX, driving innovation and growth at both organizations. Eileen also serves as a board director at Preface Global and PureSpectrum, leveraging her 25+ years of experience in consulting, media, and technology to drive transformation and success across industries.
